pH stands for Potential Hydrogen and measures the alkalinity or acidity that is present in your body. Both alkalinity and acidity affect how well your digestion system is working in the including how well you absorb and assimilate nutrients, along with eliminating toxins and wastes. pH is measured through urine and saliva. The urine represents the ability of your lower digestive system (small and large intestine) to process nutrients and waste, along with how long it takes (the transit time) and your saliva measures transit time through the mouth, esophagus and stomach.

pH is measured on a scale of 0-14, with 6.4 being an optimal reading, highlighting your body’s ability to smoothly move nutrients through the body while absorbing nutrients and processing waste. Saliva pH gives information on the breaking down of carbohydrates, HCI levels in the stomach and B12/K2 deficiencies.Urine pH highlights nutrient assimilation in the lower digestive area along with waste accumulation in the large intestine. Two different Ph readings for urine and saliva means your systems are running at two different speeds, affecting your energy and vitality. Simple tests like this demonstrate patterns so we can address lacking foundations and supplement accordingly to support the body. I complete this assessment both in person and remote, with detailed instructions and pictures sent by my clients.
